More than 100 people, including local officials, community members, and residents, gathered a few weeks ago to celebrate the Ribbon Cutting of the Hitchcock Center for Women in Cleveland, Ohio.
Thanks to our partners at The Finch Group, this development was created not only to support recovery but to keep families together. Founded in 1978, the Hitchcock Center for Women has been providing female-focused addiction recovery services for decades and is currently the only treatment center in Cuyahoga County where mothers can remain with their children throughout recovery. This expansion of the Center doubles the treatment capacity and creates a space that allows women, including those with children, to heal and recover while rebuilding their lives in a stable environment.
The facility includes two connected wings: one specialized in residential treatment and counseling, and the other provides 53 affordable housing units for women and children. Services also include Medication-Assisted Treatment and free, two-hour drop-off daycare on weekdays. In addition, the Center provides various educational and wellness courses including financial literacy, nutrition classes, art therapy, and yoga to help residents reach their full potential.
