A few weeks ago, our partners at the Low Income Housing Institute (LIHI) celebrated the Grand Opening of Nichols Court in Seattle, Washington.
Located next to the Othello light rail station, this six-story building provides 148 units of affordable housing to families and individuals earning up to 50% and 60% of the Area Median Income (AMI), including those at risk of displacement. On-site amenities include a large community room, children's play area, fitness center, and an early learning center operated by the Refugee Women’s Alliance (ReWA), an organization that provides wraparound services for refugees and immigrants. The early learning center includes six classrooms for over 100 infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, who will be assisted by 70 staff members to help these children reach their full potential.
