EMDF Closes on Sixth & Seventh Deals: Cycle House & Courtlandt Manor

In partnership with our Emerging Minority Developer Fund (EMDF) investors, we are pleased to announce the closings on the sixth and seventh deals of the fund:

  • Cycle House, a 19-unit affordable housing development in Washington, D.C. with sponsor Urban Green, LLC.

  • Courtlandt Manor, a 24-unit affordable housing development in the Bronx, NY with sponsor Infinite Horizons, LLC.

NEF established the EMDF to build the financial capacity and experience of developers of color to help them overcome today’s high barriers of entry in accessing LIHTC to create new affordable housing.

As the nationwide housing crisis rages on, the city of Detroit is celebrating a milestone in its efforts to invest in and create more affordable housing in the past five years. Nearly 5,000 units have been added to Detroit's affordable housing stock and over $1 billion has been invested thanks to its city council, partners, developers, and the mayor.
