Crescent Place Opens 40 Units of Affordable Housing in Arlington Heights, IL

Our partners at Housing Trust Group (HTG) and Turnstone Development Corp. celebrated a major accomplishment in mid-November: the opening of Crescent Place, a new 40-unit affordable housing complex in Arlington Heights, IL.

Over two years ago, the village board voted 8-1 to rezone a portion of the 2.5-acre site from commercial to residential to enable Crescent Place to be built. This complex will allow seniors in the community to age in place and offer homes for young residents and families with lower incomes. Eight units will be reserved for households earning 30% of the area median income (AMI) and 32 units at 60% AMI.

Congratulations to both our partners on the completion of Crescent Place, HTG's first development in Illinois.

Nearly 5,000 units have been added to Detroit's affordable housing stock and over $1 billion has been invested thanks to its city council, partners, developers, and the mayor.
