Congratulations to our partners at ACTION Housing on the grand opening of Flats on Forward in Pittsburgh! This 43-unit affordable housing development is the largest project ever constructed by ACTION Housing.
Located in the Squirrel Hill neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Flats on Forward is the sixth project NEF has had the honor of completing with the developer since 2013. The mixed-use building stands tall on a hillside and offers a community room on the top floor as well as retail/office space on the first two floors. Twenty-one units are affordable for households earning 60% of the area median income (AMI), 17 units for those earning 50% AMI, and 5 homes are reserved for residents with very low incomes at 20% AMI.
The grand opening was well-attended by local community members, state and city representatives including Pittsburgh Mayor Ed Gainey, special guests, and NEF's very own Tony Lyons. Learn more here.
