Victory Vistas Celebrates Groundbreaking on 50 Units for Seniors in Cincinnati

Congratulations to our partners at KINGSLEY + CO. and Serving Older Adults Through Changing Times (SO-ACT) on the groundbreaking of Victory Vistas! Soon, 50 units of affordable housing for seniors will be available in the Paddock Hills Community of Cincinnati.

This development came to fruition with assistance through our Emerging Minority Developer Fund (EMDF). NEF established the EMDF to build the financial capacity and experience of developers of color to help them overcome today’s high barriers of entry in accessing LIHTC to create new affordable housing.

Thank you to all who attended and celebrated with our partners, including our very own Lydia Smith, who leads the EMDF program and spoke at the event.

As the nationwide housing crisis rages on, the city of Detroit is celebrating a milestone in its efforts to invest in and create more affordable housing in the past five years. Nearly 5,000 units have been added to Detroit's affordable housing stock and over $1 billion has been invested thanks to its city council, partners, developers, and the mayor.
