Emerging Minority Developer Fund (EMDF) Closes on Fourth & Fifth Deals: Victory Vistas & New Life Housing

In partnership with our Emerging Minority Developer Fund (EMDF) investors, we are pleased to announce the closings on the fourth and fifth deals of the fund:

  • Victory Vistas, a 50-unit affordable housing development for seniors (55+) in Cincinnati, OH with sponsor Kingsley + Co.
  • New Life Housing, a 60-unit affordable housing development in Tacoma, WA with sponsor Shiloh Baptist Church.

NEF established the EMDF to build the financial capacity and experience of developers of color to help them overcome today’s high barriers of entry in accessing LIHTC to create new affordable housing.

Nearly 5,000 units have been added to Detroit's affordable housing stock and over $1 billion has been invested thanks to its city council, partners, developers, and the mayor.
