Wilton Commons is a beautiful new 51-unit affordable housing community in Wilton, Connecticut. A single unit is set aside for a resident manager/caretaker and the remaining residences are affordable to seniors 62 plus earning at or below 60 percent of Area Median Income.

The handicap-accessible apartments feature wider doors and hallways, lever-style door handles, low-threshold or roll-in showers with grab bars and front-loading kitchen appliances. Each unit also includes a dishwasher, garbage disposal, microwave and central air.

Wilton Commons’ residents have access to a 24-hour emergency call system and a variety of amenities such as recreation and meditation rooms, weekly activities, convenience store, beauty salon/barber shop, monthly blood pressure screening and nurses’ station. Its proximity to the Wilton Metro North commuter rail station makes it easy for residents to access nearby shopping and restaurants.

Founded in 1990 with a mission to create affordable housing opportunities, revitalize urban neighborhoods and help people achieve economic self-sufficiency, sponsor, Mutual Housing Association of Southwestern Connecticut has become one of Connecticut’s most active affordable housing developers with 462 units of affordable housing and six LIHTC developments. National Equity Fund® invested $2.6 million of LIHTC equity in the property.
