Hope Manor Joliet Wins Charles L. Edson Award

Volunteers of America Illinois’ Hope Manor Joliet, a development funded in part through LIHTC equity provided by National Equity Fund investor partners, has was honored yesterday by The Affordable Housing Tax Credit Coalition (AHTCC) with a Charles L. Edson Tax Credit Award.

Hope Manor Joliet is a 67-unit development located on the campus of the former Silver Cross Hospital in Joliet, Illinois. Strategically placed within walking distance of the new U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs Veterans Clinic, the complex offers housing targeting veterans with disabilities, who are homeless or at high risk of homelessness. It is also one of the first large-scale supportive housing developments in the country specifically designed for veterans with families.
